Pete volunteers substantial time to the Aspen communities, as well as being an active member in a number of non-profit and charitable organizations. He previously was a Member of the Board of the Colorado Bar Association YLD Executive Committee and served a six year term as Chairman of the Board of the Pitkin County Planning & Zoning Commission. He served for six years as the Legal Director for the Colorado Whitewater Association in its efforts to promote river access and conservation.
Pete teaches trial advocacy and also volunteered substantial time as a volunteer attorney for the American Trial Lawyers Association outreach program representing families of victims of the September 11 World Trade Center disaster.
Pete grew up in Virginia and worked as a canoe and kayak instructor at Camp Mondamin in North Carolina every summer through high school and college. After graduating from the University of Virginia, he then relocated to Colorado where he now lives with his wife and two daughters.
Pete is a former nationally ranked freestyle mogul skier and whitewater kayaker, hobbies he still pursues in his spare time. He also is an avid musician and plays lead guitar in a popular local band that has played venues throughout Colorado. Pete attributes much of his success as a trial lawyer to his experience on stage playing music in front of large crowds. "Whether on stage with a guitar or on stage in the courtroom, the mindset and approach to making an audience scream with excitement or a jury cry for your client is very much the same" he explains. "You have to engage your audience, capture their attention, and create tension and emotion."
The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely upon advertisements.
Past results afford no guarantee of future results. Every case is different and must be judged on its own merits.
